1. 75th Street Wastewater
Treatment Plant Upgrades

Engineer: Brown & Caldwell
Start: Oct. 2006 Finish: June 2008

Plant upgrades include a retrofit to an existing pump station, three new activated sludge aeration basins, a new blower building and new secondary clarifier. Other work includes demolition of select existing facilities to accommodate new construction, miscellaneous site piping, grading, landscaping and upgrades to the electrical and IC systems.

2. Foothills Treatment Plant
Chlorine Contact Basin & Chemical Improvements
Denver
$22 million
Owner: Aurora Water
General Contractor: Garney Construction
Engineers: CH2M Hill, Tetra Tech
Start: Dec. 2006 Finish: July 2008

This project includes the relocation of an existing warehouse. Additional work includes 11,000 cu yd of reinforced concrete for the CCB and its connection to the existing filter building, chemical improvements, upgrades to the plants chemical feeding piping and the construction of a new potassium permanganate building and lime storage silo.

3. Lone Tree WWTP
Greeley
$8.9 million
Owner: Swift & Co.
General Contractor: Stanek Constructors
Engineer: Carter Burgess
Start: Oct. 2006 Finish: March 2008

This new 5.58-mgd private treatment plant handles all the sewage from the processing operations of the Swift & Co.’s packing plant in Greeley.
