This issue of Colorado Construction features our annual rankings of the state’s top building (vertical) contractors in two different lists: Top CM/GCs and Top Design-Build Firms. The 2007 Top Heavy/Highway/Utility (horizontal) contractors will be published in May.

Here’s how the most recent lists were determined. In January and February, CCM staff sent surveys to hundreds of Colorado contractors to collect pertinent data.

Firms were asked to provide revenue totals for their 2006 fiscal year, based first on projects in Colorado; then, secondarily, on revenue from all work, regardless of location. Construction revenue as reported by individual firms was the only criteria for ranking.
